They will be able to recommend to you a good general practitioner or in worse cases a trip in an ambulance to the accident and emergency. A child's misbehavior should not be threatened by a visit to the dentist, this will only serve to put them off ever visiting a dentist again. Make a visit to the dentist a positive thing and your child will look forward to the excitement and adventure!
