Physical Activity doesn't have to mean "All work and no play", to be honest it can be just the opposite, also physical activity may reduce the risk of many debilitating diseases, osteoporosis type 2 diabetes and especially cardiovascular disease.
Other benefits include healthy bones, stronger muscles and joints, it has been recorded that over half of the American population do not get enough physical activity to provide any worthwhile benefits, to me that is a shocking statistic.
A minimum of around 30 mins a day of moderate intense physical activity, like brisk walking, can and does make a difference, also less than half an hour a day of a more vigorous intensity like jogging will work wonders for you to, combine this with moderate weight bearing activities like weight training, will help increase your muscle strength and overall endurance, all you need to do is incorporate around 7 or 8 weight training exercises with at least 8 and no more than 12 repetitions per exercise around twice a week, and you will notice yourself becoming more invigorated and less lethargic.
Moderate intensity can be described as something that raises your heart rate, but not make you out of breath where you cannot talk, try cycling, swimming or some type of circuit training, these are all great ways to increase the heart rate substantially.
Just make sure you have a check up with the doctor first before you decide to take up anything more strenuous than what you are used to, especially so if already suffering with some sort of illness.
If you have got the go ahead from the doctor, then get to work TODAY, there is no time like the present.
Also while your at it why not introduce some sound nutrition to your life, through either better quality meals or through supplementation or better still both, you can do it, the hardest thing is just to get going, effort and commitment is the key, so start today, your body will only thank you for it.
